The Letter Box
Write to me about the thing you keep carrying.
If there is something you are tired of, stuck on, or quietly turning over in your head, you can leave it here.
I am not going to pretend I can fix it. But I will read it carefully, and once a month I will answer one letter properly on a Saturday.
How it works: the form opens your email app, so the note stays in your hands until you choose to send it.
I may quote a public letter in edited form. Names and identifying details are changed. Private letters stay private.
Write here
No five steps. Just a place to put the truth down.
Short is fine. Messy is fine. The only requirement is that it is yours.
If your email app does not open, you can send the note directly to quietlyevelyn.blog@gmail.com with the subject line "Letter Box Submission."
September's invitation
What have you been calling too late when it only needs a return?
The Letter Box has one question to sit with each month. It is not homework. It is simply a place to begin if the blank page is being unhelpful.
I read everything, slowly. I answer one a month. If yours becomes a Saturday letter, I will make it less identifiable before it is published.
The Letter Box is for the tender, ordinary things people are carrying, not emergencies. If you are in immediate danger, contact local emergency services or a crisis line.
